Who this program is for

Employability Skills Training (EST) supports people who want to become more confident and prepared for work. Career Assistance Training (CTA) specifically supports people from the age of 45+, if you are:

  • Looking for work and want to improve your job-ready skills.
  • Wanting to build confidence before entering the workforce.
  • Needing support with communication, teamwork or workplace expectations.
  • Wanting practical help with resumes, interviews and job applications.
  • Interested in building skills that employers value.
  • Looking for structured, supportive training.

What you will learn

Training focuses on practical skills that can help you prepare for the workplace. Through the program, you may learn about:

  • Communication in the workplace.
  • Teamwork and problem solving.
  • Time management and reliability.
  • Workplace expectations and professional behaviour.
  • Resume and job application preparation.
  • Interview skills and confidence.
  • Digital skills for job searching.
  • Career planning and goal setting.

As part of these courses, you will hear from guest speakers sharing their real life employment journey, as well as subject matter experts in specific industies.

Eligibility

EST: 15+ | CTA: 45+
Must be registered with Workforce Australia. For online delivery, a device with a working camera and microphone is required.

Referral pathway         

Employment services provider referral or Workforce Australia self-referral. IEA providers can contact us directly to discuss referral arrangements and any associated costs.

Employment Services - Free to participants.
IEA participants  - Fees applicable.

CTA: Darwin.
